Do you feel the baby kick? The last few days I've noticed less movement than before in the sense I am still definitely feeling kicks and wriggles but it's not as much as last when it would go a bit wild sometimes. I asked the MW at my 25 week appt last week and she said as long as I am feeling it move once a day then not to worry at this stage. I just wanted to know what others experiences were as having a quick google slightly reduced movement at 25-26 weeks seems quite common.

I'm nearly 32 weeks. Despite all the online wisdom, my little passenger has never really developed much of a pattern. Between 22 and 28 weeks, I can remember him being quite quiet on occasion, quite active at other times. He still does this - I've just spent about 5 minutes watching him do the YMCA dance routine followed by a quick twerk and then a bit of Saturday Night Fever. He was quiet all morning before that with just a few little rolls and jabs and has now gone back to sleep. Midwives and consultant have said it's all normal - they can have very active days, then they have 'duvet days' when they rest up. I wonder whether it's connected with growth spurts, personally, but I don't know. They also said some babies are just lazy!

Before 28 weeks, my midwife said not to worry - they've still got plenty of room to have their baby discos and whatnot, so you may not feel everything. If it's really worrying you, call triage and go in to be checked out. No sense in raising your BP with worry.

MissTwister - I have days where my beauty is quiet I am 27+3, then again I do have an anterior placenta so may not feel everything. I was told exactly the same as you when explaining to MW and she said they dont normally regulate a pattern until around 28 weeks anyway (but not all babies do) so try not to worry as long as your feeling something daily it should all be fine. If you are worrying like Teeste said call triage to go and get checked out. Keep us updated! xx

Thanks both. Don't think I need to worry as there's definitely been movement today - I'll wait and see if a pattern emerges!

I could have written your post, OP. 26+1. This past weekend our squirmer was pretty un-squirmy but the last two days has been back to full on disco. I think my bump grew a bit so at the moment I'm guessing there's a mix of too much room, then a growth spurt so I can feel the movements strongly again. Responses from others have reassured me that this is normal for the stage we are at.

It's definitely coincided with a bump growth spurt- suddenly got massive!

I am 35+3 and she is very very active constantly kicking, turning and poking. Last two weeks the movements have changed in the sense that she rolls and turns more than the sharp jabs I used to get. Midwife said this is completely normal. I remember around 24-30 weeks she would sometimes have really quiet days, then just as I was about to worry she would go on a kicking frenzy!

Baby has been very active this evening. Even jumped at a loud noise for the first time!
