12 week scan

Hi everyone

Last October I miscarried not long after my twelve week scan - during the scan they informed me that the nuchal fold was 7mm and things did not look good for the baby.

Anyway....I'm pregnant again My twelve week is in a fortnight and I am so so worried that the same thing will happen again! Does anyone have any experience of this? Any comments would be much appreciated xx

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Loads of luck for your scan! Just because it happened once doesn't mean it's likely to happen again.

Thank you, that's what I'm hoping and the doctor seemed to think we were just unlucky so fingers crossed! Can't wait to have the scan to start getting properly exited! Xx

I hope it all goes well for you. As others have said it doesn't mean it will happen again but I understand you'll be worried. Good luck

Hi I haven't experienced quite what you did but 2 years ago in December I went for my 12 week scan to find there was no heartbeat I was so shocked and heartbroken! currently pregnant again and just had 13 week scan, baby is fine! keep positive, every cloud has a silver lining xx

Hi lily I'm so sorry for your previous loss. I had a missed miscarriage last September and im currently pregnant again. I have my 12 week scan today. I paid for a private scan for piece of mind about 8 weeks which might be worth doing if you think it will help? However the last few days I've been nervous again which I think unfortunately is something most people get leading up to scans but is perfectly natural :) If you search in the boards there are many positive stories that people have of healthy pregnancys after losses.
