Hiya everyone, I'm in need of a bit of advice. I had my implant replaced on the 2nd April, it is my third one. The other two I had I constantly spotted and never went more than 2-3 days without any bleeding at all. The last one did run out on the 14th of March and I had unprotected sex with hubby a couple of times since it expired. They did a pregnancy test when I went to have it replaced and it was negative. But even though i was advised to use other protection for at least a week after new implant was put in we had unprotected sex 2 days after. And I Have had no bleeding at all since, which has now been 2 weeks. I've done a couple of tests but they were Negative. I know it'd be too Early to show up anyway even if I was pregnant. But I'm just wondering what other people think my chances are that I am actually pregnant? has anyone else been in a similar situation and are their any risks if i am pregnant with the implant still being in my arm? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I've had one Implanon and I almost never bled or spotted on it, over the 2+ years I had it I had maybe two "periods." I wouldn't assume that just because you are not bleeding that you are pregnant. For the first two months that I had it I took constant pregnancy tests worrying.

They are extremely effective and I even saw an article some time ago that they last longer than the official expiry. If I were you I'd test again in a week or two, but I think the odds are slim.
