Measuring ahead at 28 weeks!

I'm 28 weeks. I seen the midwife 2 days ago.. Who did the usual checks and measured my bump. She didn't mention any thing about it but on my notes I was measuring at 32cm!! 4cm ahead??

At my last appointment (25 weeks) I was measuring exactly 25 weeks. Only 3 weeks ago?!

At my 20 week scan. The lady also seemed to imply baby was on the smaller end in the normal range. Me and partner aren't particularly tall (5,10 and 5,7) my partner is slim and small built and I'm a bit bigger than average and haven't even gained a stone yet.. But am I having a big baby??

First born was 7lb 1oz 12 days late so dinky really. He was born by c-section but I'm trying for a vbac this time and scared my baby will be huge and cause loads of pain. (Worth it of course)

Anyone got a advice?

I would try not to worry if I were you. The bump measuring thing is pretty inaccurate in my experience. If the midwife had been worried she would have sent you for a growth scan. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and don't stress about it.

I'm 27 weeks and measuring 3 cm larger than expected. I'm going for a growth scan next week anyway as my ds was born tiny (6lb 5oz) so my mw just said that everything would be checked out then. I had the same at this stage with ds and had a scan then too- have you been offered one?
It's really not an exact science, bump measuring though! Last time the sonographer said that she was sick of perfectly healthy pregnant women being scared by being sent for extra scans but i suppose best to be safe.Mw also said that babies can have growth spurts in the womb that can cause large measurements. It's odd because I had a really tidy bump with ds. In any case I measured large and he turned out to be a tiddler.

bump measurements are incredibly inaccurate - I was measured 16 cm at 16 weeks, and 15 cm at 20 weeks! Everything is fine.

I wouldn't worry. I measured bang on average and had an enormous baby.

I'm 35 weeks and measuring 41. First DC a was over 9lb and a week early at that, so I'm expecting a whopper this time. It was a growth scan that has put me so far ahead, hoping it's inaccurate but she's coming out regardless so there's not much point in stressing myself outs. Anyway, big babies are easier to birth apparently!
