Is this a mucus plug?!

Hi all, sorry for raising this as it is a little tmi!

I'm almost 38 weeks pregnant

I went to the loo for a wee earlier and when I pulled my knickers down I had a large amount of cloudy white mucus. More than usual for sure.

I know mucus plug is usually blood stained - this wasn't - so am I just wishful thinking?!

give midwife a ring to be safe, sweetie, but if I remember when I lost my plug when I was pregnant it had loads of pink mucus and stringy blood (looked like bloodworms)

fingers crossed for you xxxxx

It could be! Mine wasn't blood stained (just cloudy white mucus over a day or two) but when I was examined in hospital, they told me it was definitely gone.
Best of luck!

Mine looked like a jellyfish! Slightly off-white, massive blob of mucous. Nothing like the blob the size of a 50p I'd been led to expect. My waters went about an hour later.

Thanks girls- is this something I should ring the midwife for then? Or just see what happens?.

Hate keeping bothering them

Ring them! That's their job, you're not bothering them!

I'd wait and see if anything else happens. Labour could be imminent but it may not happen for days yet. Good luck!

Mine was cloudy white at 37 weeks.. I then had nothing until I went overdue. It was quite disheartening tbh!

Thanks girls- I hate ringing the midwives. They just always make you feel that your wasting their time somehow or being over fussy
