Am getting to the end of my tether with terrible shooting back pains down one side of my lower back into my bum cheek.

Had this in my first pregnancy but it seems much worse this time. Probably because I am chasing around after toddler ds1 and occasionally lifting him (try not to but can't be avoided when alone with him).

Anyone else had this?? Any coping tips or tricks to magically make it go away?? The thought of 14+ more weeks of this agony is making me weep.

Last time I had a support belt which I think helped a bit. And I sat on a birth ball a lot (blowing it up again this weekend)...but what else?

Is there any point talking to Mw/GP?? Or will they just tell me it's all part of the undeniable joy of pregnancy?

Oh, and I'm case it's relevant, something weird has happened to my belly button this time too...it feels my stomach muscles underneath it have vanished/moved apart and there's a weird 'dip' in the middle of my bump.

It hurts when I cough/sneeze/roll over in bed and sometimes I feel like my insides are gonna fall out through my belly button...! Ick .

Not sure what this is, didn't have it first pregnancy. Could it be related?
