Is this indigestion?

Currently 27wks with twins and for the past week every time I have my evening dinner (about 7.30pm) I get a strong pain just at the lower edge of my ribs almost straight away afterwards, along with a 'very full' feeling and taut abdomen.

The pain feels like a pulled muscle type of sensation that's there without putting any work through that area.

Only happens with my evening meal, which possibly is the biggest one of the day. Having never suffered from indigestion before I don't really know what it feels like. Could this be it?

Tried cutting down portion size and stopping any spicy foods but I still seem to get it.

Any other tips on how to stop this? Or is it basically something you just have to kinda put up with?

Another twin mum to be here. Sounds very much like your stomach is full and just pushing against everything with no space for anything to move out the way. I often had similar not helped by slouching when eating. Not sure I ever found a solution except to try and sit bolt upright for the meal and afterwards and just wait for it to pass. You could always try gaviscon and see if it helps-no harm trying.
Mine did ease as everything stretched from memory and now I really so get reflux they feels very different

Ah that's great tips, thanks 2015.

Having never suffered from indigestion before I really didn't know if this was it, but what you say makes sense as it does pass after a while, unless I've really treated myself to a big helping! I'll try sitting completely upright and perhaps cut back even more on portions again, hopefully I'll find the right balance soon!

I decided I could tolerate the pain and carried on eating as normal but then I'm a pig!! Blush
I don't help myself by often eating using a tray in front of the TV. Bad habit I know but I've had the same problem when sitting at a table and slouching so again I have weighed up pros and cons and carried on!
