Positive test or evap?

Hi
I am 9dpo and just used a 25ml sensitivity test but I usually use a stronger brand. I have (on both tests) got this faint little line. The line is noticeable to the eye, you may struggle to see it in the photo but in real life it's visable. It's very light red but is thinner than the control line. I compared it to a positive test (in my ds scrapbook) and both lines have equal distance to the positive test but the test line on this one is noticeabley thinner??

I struggled to see the line in the first picture, but I can definitely see it in the second. I've always thought the line had to be near enough the same width as the control line but I'm not too sure. As your only 9dpo id hold on for a few days and test then for a more clear result. It does look promising though!

Good luck!

Those tests are dangerous for false positives. Go and get yourself a branded test and use FMU. Good luck x

I'm going to get one from Tesco when boyfriends back with the car. I have taken a pic of all 3 tests I have taken today lined up. The bottom is an obvious positive and from my previous pregnanxy just comparing it to the others

I found Tesco tests really sensitive and they come in packs of two so you can do one tonight and one in the morning.

Lily1111 · 14/04/2015 15:23

Tesco own brand tests had to break open
Bfp or evap??

How long after you tested was the picture taken? I think as you've had to break open the test to see it I wouldn't trust it. As hard as it is. Hold off testing again today and use your first wee of the day tomorrow.
Good luck

Lily1111 · 14/04/2015 15:44

I broke it open as soon as I took it before the result has even settled. It appeared with in 3 minutes and if I put it back together it can still be seen x

Get a FRER and try tomorrow with FMU Good luck!

sebsmummy1 · 14/04/2015 15:50

I would say that's a BFP. At 9dpo it's going to be very faint. Test in the morning.

Grantaire · 14/04/2015 15:51

If you break open the test, you invalidate the result. Do another test and read it whilst still intact. Grin

If you are seeing lines however, it's likely you're pregnant. They're always easier to see than to photograph. Make sure you read in the right amount of time, don't tamper with the test and then accept whatever result you appear to be seeing. If in doubt, wait a few days and test again.

Or test repeatedly every day and squint for hours at the result. That's what I tended to do!

Lily1111 · 14/04/2015 16:01

I'm going to do the other one now (can't help myself lol) then will get another to take tomorrow, such a waste of money but worth the excitement lol

Exact same result so I'm guessing that's a bfp? Just don't feel confident enough to say for sure yet. I'm not going to take anymore now just goint to wait to miss my period due on Saturday x

Lily1111 · 14/04/2015 16:19

This result was a bit lighter though as urine was extremely dialuted

You. Are. Pregnant.

Congratulations. Just try and relax for now as it's extremely early days. I'd test on Saturday too (I just bought a job lot of ebay cheapies) but would tentatively start to believe it. I always tested clearly positive at 9dpo. Fingers crossed for you.

Psipsina · 14/04/2015 16:33

I'm not sure. It's hard to tell yet. Maybe tomorrow it will be clearer. Good luck.

heatherxo · 14/04/2015 17:22

Doesn't matter where you get the tests/how cheap they are. Both mine were bought from poundland, first looked like your lot and second was so much clearer.
Good luck:)

Lily1111 · 14/04/2015 17:47

Just caved in and got some more tests, from pound land though! Same faint positive! My only question (which is why I'm not sure if im ptegnant) I had a son 4 months ago (December 14th) I am ttc again (first cycle) I understand it will be hard and have had the go ahead from the doc could left over hcg be causing faint positives ?

Get a first response - I got a clear BFP at 8dpo. Looking good so far though!!

BifsWif · 14/04/2015 18:35

I don't think HGC would stick around in your system for that long.

BatteryPoweredHen · 14/04/2015 18:39

A line is a line, is a line.

Congratulations!
