Heart rate myth

Hi, has anybody found the heart rate myth to be true? We are not going to be finding out the sex of our baby so just for fun we are guessing from different signs/myths etc. Just wondering if the old heart rate myth holds any truth for anybody

Yes, DD's heartrate was above 140bpm at the 16 week midwife appointment. I didn't see DC2's bpm but I think it was also >140 and a recent scan was inconclusive but leaning towards girl too.

My friend was told a girl at their scan and nearing the end the midwife thought biy because of the heart rate.. they had a girl :)
I'm having a girl and her hr averaged at 134bpm

Up until 20 weeks, baby had heartbeat (home doppler) over 140, never less but we're having a boy. At hosp recently, he was 122-142

My baby's heart rate was 162bpm at the 16 week appointment, I'm having a boy.

DD1 was in the 150's and DD2 to be is also in the same region.
But there will always be exceptions even if a fair number follow the pattern of the myth.

Have fun guessing Grin

Oooo it's so exciting hehe thanks for all the responses, I don't think I will be buying pink or blue based on the heart rate but is fun to guess Grin babys heart rate is 160-170 beats per min Star

It's based on bpm during birth, as I understand it.

Every myth pointed to my dd being a boy! Grin Luckily several scans all correlated. .. girl!
