My pregnancy is going backwards

An early scan last week showed no yolk or fetal pole, my days would have made me 8+4 but they said I was just really early.
So yesterday I paid for another private early scan and was told I was about 5weeks and saw the right bits but it doesn't match my dates at all. I had a positive Preg test on the 4th March. I was told not to be to optimistic but everything is going in the right direction just the date bit. I'm now a little confused. Can anyone offer any advice??

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm sorry you're going through this uncertainty. It would be unlikely you could only be 5 weeks if you had a positive test on the 5th March.

I had the same happen to me (baby was measuring a week and a bit smaller than my date, which I knew were right) and the outcome wasn't good. I hope it's different for you.

Do you have to have a follow up scan?

Yeah I have another scan on the 20th March at the EPC. Everything has grown, the sac and what's inside. I did say to the sonographer yesterday if she knew nothing about my dates etc how far gone would I be and she said 5weeks. I know makes no sense but why would it be growing that's what makes no sense to me and it's also why I am a little optimistic, maybe I'm just clinging on to hope for nothing but the human body is a funny thing

It's really hard to say which way it's going to go, I can only speak from my experience but I'm sure there will be others who went through the same with a good outcome. I found being in limbo and the waiting the hardest part.

I hope you have good news at your next scan and baby has caught up with their growth x
