Early scan

Hi ladies,

This is my first pregnancy so I'm new to all this and after some advice and support please...

Based on LMP I am 8+4 - this morning we went for an early scan for reassurance and they saw a sac measuring 11.5mm but no foetal pole. The sonographer said im about 5-6 weeks and to go back in 2 weeks for another scan. He said the sac shape was normal, but obviously I'm v worried! Can my dates really be that wrong?! I did fall preg very soon after coming off the pill so cycles are likely to be all over the place but still v anxious and confused.

Any of you lovely ladies been through this / have any advice? This next 2 weeks is going seem like an age

You could have ovulated later, my cycle was approx 34 days when I came off the pill. As you fell pregnant so quickly its probably just that your cycle was a bit all over the place, also some people can ovulate twice in one month.

Try not to panic too much, I know it's easier said than done
