Vitamin B12 Deficiency & pregnancy?? anyone know anything useful

Just back from the MW/Obs clinic
I am lacking B12 so have to go for a jab on Monday

Anyone else dealt with this while pg?

I had a read through their forums

Haematalogy appt was largely pointless

I was seen by a specialist nurse who hadn't looked at my previous blood test results and was more interested in discussing my diet/periods

By asking lots of difficult questions we managed to see the consultant but she wasn't terribly helpful either

Hi, I'm new to these boards, I had a B12 deficiency before I got pregnant, which was treated with injections, was also worried about effects on baby but all seems to have been Ok, levels dropped a lot around end of 2nd trimester but no more since. I was assured that baby would get what he needed at my expense, so as long as you have a little in you all should be fine - I reckon you'd feel really ill if things got to a point where there wasn't enough for baby from what I've read.
