There'll always be somewhere to sit, even if it's just bum perching. I a,ways seem to manage to book concerts in for late pregnancy, last time I had to change my tickets to the disability seats as I was on crutches. We need up behind a pillar, DH wasn't amused!

If you don't want to go don't go! I think you'll be fine but if you don't want to you don't need an excuse.

Frasras11 · 11/04/2015 22:33

You'll be fine. With DS I did Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes (drove there and back in a day from Nrewcastle Upon Tyne) at 7 months. Also did a few more local gigs too. This time have Foo Fighter when I'll be 4 months (I think Dave Grohl is my fertility idol, book Foo tickets, get pregnant) and we're then going to a weekend festival when I'll be 6 months, with DS in tow.

But, I want to do these things. If you don't want to go you'll not enjoy it whether you sit or stand. You might end up having a great time so don't let being pregnant stop you.

I went to Green Day when I was 4 months with DD. Neither of us suffered any ill effects.

If you don't want to go, don't.

SnozzberryPie · 12/04/2015 09:22

I went to two festivals when pg with dd. It was fine. I just stayed away from the moshpit.

I went to a Kanye concert when I was about 5 months - was fine. Take some water etc, but obviously don't go if you don't want to! You won't enjoy it if you don't want to go and are worrying etc

ChatEnOeuf · 12/04/2015 18:50

I've been to concerts when pregnant - Ocean Colour Scene at 14w and Feeder at 22w, standing areas. All fine. But I like them - if you don't want to go, don't go!

Can you contact the venue in advance? I went to Sleater-Kinney at the Albert Hall in Manchester - I emailed the venue only to ask if they did have any seating and they put us in this little VIP bit! We had great seats. Worth a try!

avocadotoast · 12/04/2015 23:03

But like others have said, if you don't want to go, don't! You have a good excuse...

muddymary · 13/04/2015 08:01

I went to see slipknot at about 21 weeks and papa roach at about 30 weeks and was standing at both. I had no problems at all although obv I didn't go right to the front or anything! I've found people to be really helpful when you're pregnant anyway so I think if you needed a seat someone would find you one!

sianihedgehog · 13/04/2015 10:58

I went to a four day electronic music festival at 5 months, it was fine.

pinkie87 · 13/04/2015 12:51

I've been to two gigs in the last 2 weeks, both standing. I'm 20 weeks. First one I felt a bit faint (but this has happened before at the same venue so don't think it's a pregnancy thing!) and just sat on the floor for minute! Apart from that I was fine. It's up to you, you will be fine most probably but if you don't want to go anyway, then don't.
