Hello
Well I am shocked! I brought a bundle of pregnancy tests (the ones the NHS uses) as I am TTC. I have a 4 month old son already, but I have decided I want another. I understand the risks and how hard it will be but I am fully aware and have been given the go ahead by my doctor.

Well I ovulated on Sunday and had sex on Sunday there is no way I could be further along. Sunday was the only occasion I have had sex since my last AF (and there was no way this was not an AF as it was extremely heavy and long) prior to that we where using condoms as contraception.

So I took it today, I understood I probably would not get a positive even if I was just curiosity got the better of me. AND I got this very faint test (got the same on all 3 tests I took)

Is this a positive? Or could it be leftover hormone from 4 months ago??
Also having mild AF cramps but not due on for 8 days

How long after dipping the test did you read the result? Have your periods since giving birth been regular? Are you breast feeding?

I got it with in one minute (I put the test down whilst I poured away the cup of wee then washed my hand and checked it again and this was the result)

I partially breastfed for 2 weeks then stopped and went full with formula. I got my first period 1st of Jan (baby was born on december 14th) and have had periods every 28 days since.

It does look a bit like an evap, so I would test again with FMU once you are at least 10 dpo. You would normally only get a bfp after implantation which takes around 10 days after conceiving. now that your periods are regular the most sensible thing to do would be to wait till you're late. Easier said than done though!

I don't think its an evap as I have taken 4 and got the same result on all. Unless they are dodgy tests. I am going to take another everyday from now just to see if they are consistent with the lines and if they are getting darker then will buy a clear blue on the day I am due on.

I am having cramps today so I thought I could be implanting today I checked online and everywhere says 6 days is the absoloute minimum you implant

You are right in that you can implant early but assuming you did, there wouldn't be enoug HCG hormone in your system on that same day to trigger a positive test as what you are measuring is your bodies response to the embryo implanting. Doesn't mean you are out for this month but I would do as a po said and wait a while longer before saying that was a definite bfp.

Good luck. You obviously want this to be a BFP so I hope it works out for you

This just isn't possible, an embryo can't implant until it reaches the hatching blastocyst stage of development which only happens at day 5-6 post fertilisation.

Is it possible you ov'd earlier than you thought? What method of ovulation tracking are you using?
