Best Footwear for summer when pregnant?

Hey,

This is my first pregnancy and I'm currently 9 weeks.
I am starting to plan for a pre-planned trip to Thailand when I will be 13 weeks. I am hoping some Mums who have been here & done that could suggest the best footwear for a lot of walking in the heat. I really want to enjoy it and not be moaning about my sore feet!

Thanks in advance

Birkenstocks

I used the sketchers memory foam walking shoes, I find they don't become too stinky and are comfortable as I have a wide foot anyway.
Congrats on the pregnancy!

Fitflops

In autumn get triathlon laces for your trainers, makes them into slip obs when you stop bending effectively!

At 13w I think you will be fine with whatever you would normally wear.

I was in Thailand when I was 4 months pregnant and lived in flip flops! I had some Havianas my cheapo primark ones had broken In Australia so invested in some decent ones and I've still got them now (4 years later) x

I'm on holiday in Thailand right now, and I'm about six weeks. I've been wearing Birkenstocks almost exclusively. I would only suggest that you get them well in advance and wear them around a lot to let them mold to your feet. I walked for miles around Bangkok in the most intense heat and humidity I've ever experienced (seriously, I sweat through my bra) and my feet were absolutely fine.

Second the decent flip flops idea. For some reason they stay fresher...

Toms

Two strap Birkenstocks so so comfy and you can adjust if your feet swell.

The physio said it is particularly important in pregnancy to wear supportive shoes or your back and hips can really suffer. They recommended Birkenstocks and said to avoid flip flops. I lived in mine- even when my feet ballooned later on.
