St Georges Hospital Experiences

So i am under the care of St Georges Tooting, only 10 weeks pg, but i have already been to the EPU due to a lot of bleeding, they were amazing.

But someone told me today they refused to go there as there were so many bad stories. Which of course as i am waiting for my 12 week scan in two weeks means i need to obsess over something else....

Does anyone have RECENT... not 10 years old experience of St Goerges, the GP and Midwife care and birth experience?

thanks in advance!

I'm at St George's and can't fault the care so far. I haven't delivered yet (38+4) but every contact I've had with them so far - a few early scans in EPU and all antenatal care - has been brilliant. A friend had her baby there a couple of weeks ago and said the midwives and consultants were great, but the postnatal ward was a bit short staffed so she didn't get as much attention there, but from what I've heard talking to friends who have been in other hospitals that seems to be quite common. I think you'll hear negative stories about any hospital, as difficult births happen everywhere, but on the whole everything I've heard and experienced so far has been great.

I'm 28 weeks pg and so far can't fault the care at St George's. All appointment experiences have been positive and when I had a little panic a couple of weeks ago and went in for checks on my baby they were absolutely lovely. Smile

I'm 20 weeks and so far have had all good experiences at St George's. Hoping it stays that way until the birth!

I had my DD at St George's and cannot fault the care one bit :)
People are always quick to tell their horror stories unfortunately
