I am 33 weeks pregnant and midwife called me today as me Iron is very low again and I need it by IV and I also need B12 injections as thats also low and bodys just not absorbing the iron. I have had IV iron before but not the b12 injections? Just wondered if anyone has had both or b12 and how were they? Thanks Smile

I have had B12 injections every 12 weeks, as I have Crohn's and my body doesn't absorb B12 properly. It's fine, the injection stings a bit, but only as it's going in. I've been having them for years and never had a problem with them.

I've been having b12 injections 12 weekly for around 2 years - I'm 30 weeks pg now though and bizarrely my iron and b12 levels have been quite steady through the pregnancy.
The actual injection stings a bit, but I never suffer any side effects after.
