Loss of symptoms? Feeling very worried

hi all,
I'm around 4-5 weeks pregnant with my first child and im feeling very anxious at my lack of symptoms. I know most people don't get nausea til around 6 weeks but strangely I'm praying I start feeling ill soon so that I know things are progressing. I did have quite tender boobs only when touched or poked and now they're not as tender which is making me panic. I've been doing more pregnancy tests (which I know I shouldnt) and the line doesn't come up straight away, although it does come up within about 4 minutes. Is this normal or should it appear as soon as the test line? It doesn't appear to get any darker either.
My questions probably seem really stupid, but I did get my BFP quite early and ive only told my nearest and dearest (due to events coming up and me not drinking it'll be be obvious so Ive told a few close friends) and the odd comment of it being very early and to not get too excited which I already knew but hearing it really makes me panic.

I had quite bad pain last night, enough to prevent me sleeping which seems to have disappeared now but I think it was mainly gas (sorry if tmi) but it was relieved when I managed to pass wind or placed a pillow between my legs.

I just want to know if anyone has experienced this and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy or should I be worried?

Sorry if this seems like a pointless read I'm a nervous wreck at the minute.

TIA

Hi, I wanted to reply to your post as I have been in the same position. Firstly, your questions aren't stupid, they're totally natural. 4-5 weeks is still very early. Symptoms do tend to come and go, this is normal. Apart from slightly tender breasts, I didn't feel any nausea until about 7-8 weeks, and it only lasted about 4 weeks then went completely. I'm now 15 weeks and everything is going well. Bloating and gas are very common and the pain can be quite intense. Unless you have bleeding try not to worry - aches and pains will come and go and are normal. Feel free to ask any questions you have...none are too stupid Smile hope I've helped a little, good luck with your pregnancy and congratulations! X

BornToBe thank you so much for your kind reply. No doubt I'll be bombarding the pregnancy board with questions just to ease my mind. It's very reassuring to know others have been in a similar position. I'm just desperate to know things are progressing as they should. I'll try and think more positively about aches and pains since they're normal Smile congratulations on your pregnancy too! Glad all is going well! X

i never had any symptoms at all, other than slightly sore boobs! i was petrified, especially as it seems every pregnant lady i know was swapping horror stories of morning sickness and fatigue, but the 12 week scan was perfect, so it clearly didn't mean anything.

i think being pregnant turns into nervous wrecks. i'm normally so chilled out, but i've been a nightmare since i saw that BFP!

Some people are just lucky, I didn't have any symptoms really, my boobs didn't start hurting till around nine weeks and even that was an on off thing. I was tired and that was about it. I am now 33+2 :)

Try not to worry, I also used to get bad gas pain, rennies deflatine are great for that

Dont worry madgiebean .. Everyone has different symptoms. I havent had any nausea. Just sore boobs and fatigue and even that has gone away, now that I am 10 weeks. Pregnancy symptoms come and go. For all you know, you will be bent over the toilet in a few weeks (though I wouldnt wish that on anyone) … Relax. As long as you are not bleeding heavily or in a lot of pain, you are ok.

The only thing I had was tiredness!! No sickness no sore boobs nothing!!! so i was convinced that something was wrong or I wansnt really pregnant (even tho I took 3 tests)! haha and was so nervous about going for first scan,, it wasnt until then seeing a little baby on the screen that i was like omg i am actually pregnant lol and it put my mind at ease! For a while anyway until I found the next thing to worry about x

I had pretty much nothing, too! A few weeks later I was SO VERY TIRED, but nothing else. Now about 23 weeks with an enormous bump and feeling kicks regularly, but I never did get most of the classic symptoms. Some women don't. :)

Don't worry madgiebean, I'm in the same boat. I'm 7w+5 and only having sore boobs on and off (and keeps getting better), mild cramps and some fatigue for a few days but nothing major. It made me panic too and believe it or not I've done about 10 tests all in all which is silly but just like the pp said I just can't believe I'm pregnant. My first scan is still more than a month away Hmm but what can we do. As long as there's no bleeding or severe pain I've been told it's fine. Enjoy while you can, you never know when the symptoms might strike. Be careful what you wish for in other words Grin
