In my area you need a GP referral for their services. There seems to have been quite a few people who have struggled to get a referral, either having huge arguments or it being so delayed their maternity care hasn't been delivered properly.

I want them but I don't know if I can be arsed with any stress over getting them. Last time I had a home birth there was no issue at all wi the community midwives or care I received. I don't know if I'll actually benefit from using them.

What are people's thoughts who have used both one to one and Nhs services? Would you bother having an argument?
