From your experience, what do you think about my results? What were your results? Outcome?

At 13 weeks 3 days my screening results were:

CRL 74.5 mm
NT 2.4 mm 1.39 MoM
Free beta-hCG 1.82 MoM
PAPP-A 1.32 MoM
Nasal bone present

Age risk (41) 1:74

Trisomy 21 Risk - 1:151

Trisomy 13 & 18 Risk - 1:10,000

Have they given you a combined risk of all the elements?
We weren't given a breakdown, just one result.

This is how it was reported:

Age risk (41) 1:74

Trisomy 21 Risk - 1:151

Trisomy 13 & 18 Risk - 1:10,000

Your T21 risk is half compared to age alone, other trisomies are very low risk. Looks good. I declined the tests as I wouldn't act on the results.

PazRaz1975 · 08/04/2015 11:41

I would first ask for a combined result if they can provide you with one.

If not then based on the T21, T13 and T18 results I would consider these as low risk.
I am not medical though, this is based on the information I was given at the time of my results - which were high risk.
I was told that a combined result of 1:1-150 was high risk and 1:151 and above was low risk.

Have the hospital offered to see you following these results, told you whether they think you are high risk or low risk? Have they discussed other options like amnio or harmony tests?

Zahrah5 · 08/04/2015 12:15

sorry to say that but your T21 result is officially borderline high risk. It is likely this just just purely due to your higher age and there is nothing wrong with the baby.

I would go for either Harmony test or to a fetal medicine specialist for a detailed anatomy scan to look at more soft Down markers such as tricuspid flow, ductus venosus flow, echocardiac focus, flat face and some other things they check.

Or you can do CVS/amnio, if you are OK with the risks of these procedures.

You need to know what would give you peace of mind and whether the results are important for you and would affect your decisions.

I'm happy to say that my harmony results came back as LOW risk.
