Why is it I am convinced my baby is coming soon. I'm only 36 weeks but I feel like it's gonna happen in next week. I don't know if this is just wishful thinking or my internal intuition playing it's part. I feel so different today I can't stop crying and I'm scared to go out of the house. I've never felt like this before.
I wonder if anybody else just 'knew' before the obvious signs started kicking in because I feel like my body is trying to tell me something... Ugh

I thought mine would be early and I was right, but I did have praevia. I had DS at 36 weeks. I know its probably a comment you've made accidentally with 'wishful thinking' but I wouldn't wish for a preemie, it's been very hard. I'd much rather have a term baby

I had a really strong inclination Id be early I went to 42 weeks.

Id leave the house though it's not just going to fall out of you lol

Maybe you're experiencing a form of anxiety? You know the baby is coming in a few weeks and perhaps subconsciously you're thinking you shouldn't go out and do stuff 'just in case' ? Your brain might be in 'any moment now! Must stay near safety!' Mode?

Why not start with a couple of short trips out (it's easter so a good excuse) and make those trips a bit longer. Get your bags packed so you're as ready as you can be and maybe that will help a little?

I've been really surprised at how my normally very sensible, scientific self has been replaced by this anxious, worry-at-everything pregnant crazy lady :) I'm telling myself that worry and anxiety are normal and probably beneficial (laissez faire mothers probably didn't do too well in keeping offspring safe from marauding predators back in the day) but it is still very weird how anxious I am.
