Just want a little moan, 2nd night running of no sleep and getting a bit tetchy. Now I've got heartburn too and baby is doing somersaults. I have to see in laws for lunch and it's gunna be so tense if I get no sleep.
What can I do to help me sleep? Im 25 w and this happens at least 3 times a week. Whole nights with not even a wink. Heartburn not usually an issue, probably because I had Chinese for tea!

Me too! Second night of sore hips and heart burn. Had 3 hours last night and have managed 5 tonight. I'm usually a 9 hour sleeper. I don't have any advice, just oodles of empathy and sympathy!

Me too! Toddler woke me 1 1/2 hrs ago and can't get back to sleep! Urgh pregnancy insomnia

40+12 here

No advice I'm afraid but I can tell you that you do get used to it, I went from being a 9/10 hour a night person to 6 if I'm lucky. I think the worst part for me was from 24 weeks to 30 I really did struggle and could hardly stay awake during the day. Now I seem to be able to manage.

Ahhhh same here Grin
I find the days I exercise I sleep better so will try swim or walk tomorrow
On my last pregnancy I used take rescue remedy sleep as it helped might try again and see

I second the exercise suggestion. Tough for me because I have PGP and if I do too much my hips are in agony but I do then get a good nights sleep (have yet to find the point where it is enough exercise to sleep but doesn't screw my hips). Failing that, I've discovered the blessing of naps-even half an hour helps

23 weeks here and barely slept for weeks. I seem to spend all night tossing and turning with hip pain....I used to sleep 10 hours if I could!!

lmb21010 · 04/04/2015 23:16

I'm not normally in pain, although tonight I've got some pain in lower bump. I just can't drift off! I've been in bed an hour now and I'm still wide awake. Maybe a hammer to the head? I've been "active" all day today, not exercise so to speak but I've not been resting. Managed a few hours last night from 5am -8am. Might get up in a minute.
I was nothing like this with dd!

I pretty much didn't sleep my whole pregnancy. Nothing helped at all. It was definitely hormones though because as soon as baby was born I could sleep for a lot longer. It's rubbish and I feel for you all!

reb2g08 · 06/04/2015 07:27

I'm only 9 weeks but keep waking up feeling starving hungry with what I think it heartburn! My stomach feels like it's full of acid? So strange only happened for past 3 nights never had it before! Any remedies?

Skiptonlass · 06/04/2015 17:21

Nothing works, unfortunately.

I wake up every hour at least in the night (I've always done this, never slept through the night in my life...but pregnancy has made it a bit worse.)

I console myself with thinking that at least I'm prepared for getting up constantly to feed a newborn. :(

leanne963 · 06/04/2015 17:58

I am 33 weeks and even before pregnancy suffered from insomnia so it really is a joy now...

I seem to get the achy hips and restless legs the most. Last night i was tossing and turning til 2am when i decided to get up and have a nice bath. I was in there for about 45 minutes to the point of feeling really sleepy then got into bed and slept straight through to 7am.

I think the whole not sleeping thing scares me more than labour ha!

lmb21010 · 06/04/2015 19:27

Been out all day near enough today, shopping for baby stuff and been in the fresh air so I'm hoping to sleep well tonight. I'm shattered! But now I'm thinking I'm developing spd! I'm in so much pain! Mw I'm 2 weeks so will speak to her about it. If it continues work will be a nightmare, 12 hr shifts and on feet all day
