What's the best first infant formula milk for newborns. I fed my son sma gold and he was fine on it. But not sure which brand to choose this time round?? Xx

Scientifically they all have to be pretty much identical by law plus no offers etc allowed, Therefore I would just consider practicalities such as what can you get in the shops you use / nearby - or if you particularly want to use ready made, which brand is easier to get hold of.

Other than that, it's all just smoke and mirrors of marketing.

I don't think there is a best, just whatever suits your baby

I think it very much depends on the child, some will tolerate different brands better than others but I'd definitely start with whatever is cheapest and most readily available nearby and switch if you have too.

My eldest was formula fed from birth and I chose Cow & Gate because it seemed to be the least smelly, DD was breastfed with the ocassional formula feed and she couldn't/wouldn't tolerate C&G but would take Aptimal despite them being almost identical ingredients wise Hmm

Agree with PPs it all depends on the baby, my daughter was ff from birth on cow and gate but we switched her to aptimel when she got a touch of reflux. It didn't help the reflux situation but she is far more settled from we changed her..better sleeping winds easier!
