19 weeks and getting more sick - normal or sign of a problem?

I'm 19 weeks and have been really sick since about 6 weeks. I was throwing up every day usually just once until about 16 weeks when there was a slight improvement, meaning I was able to get out of bed and go for a bit of a walk some days. I've been signed off work for three months and was really expecting to be well enough to return to work after easter but the last few days I've been worse, vomiting several times a day and with a bad stomach ache whatever I eat, even though I'm constantly starving. My scan isn't for two weeks still. Should I be worried that it's getting worse? I've been waiting for it to get better for so long that I can't believe it's actually getting worse :( has anyone else had this?

No I haven't hun, but it sounds as though you might be suffering with HG? www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/severe-vomiting-in-pregnancy-hyperemesis-gravidarum.aspx Are you able to keep food down at all and drinking plenty of water?

Been able to cope until now but it's all of a sudden got worse. Just wondering if I might have some stomach bug or something...

Id definately see your GP about this especially if it's getting worse hun, perhaps you could do with some anti sickness medication to take the edge off

Thanks. I've been on all sorts of anti sickness meds but I'd stopped taking them as it seems to be getting better. I'm just wondering if there is any reason for increased sickness around 19 weeks...

Could be tummy bug....i had a horrible bug at about 18 weeks after thinking I was getting over the worst of the sickness and it nearly killed me. I would get checks at GP just to be sure. Xx

I had hyperemesis and have had several admissions for rehydration. One of them was at 19 weeks when the sickness suddenly worsened for a bit. I've not been sick since 23 weeks so that's better than my last pregnancy when I was on anti sickness meds until 36 weeks.
