Maternity clothes

Hi ladies,
No where near buying any maternity clothes yet but I'm just wondering what you're all using? Thinking a few pairs of leggings, 2 pairs of jeans and quite a few tops. Seen some multi packs in new look so think I'll get them.

Comfort is my number one requirement. As for anything else it depends on what you need for work. I survived with one maternity skirt and a regular skirt that stretched with me plus a lot of t-shirt material tops in a size up that grew and will still fit after the birth. I am then in regular leggings and sweatpants with one pair of maternity jeans that are so comfy but a terrible fashion statement. The only other specific maternity purchase I made was a smart top and dress for the odd occasion I needed to dress up a bit but that was bought the week before the event so I knew it would fit.
You can get by with a lot less specific maternity stuff then you think and in my experience normal clothes with some stretch or room to grow will last better than maternity stuff which is expensive for the poor quality

depends on what you need. I barely bought any casual clothes - just wear my normal leggings and low-rise jeans under the bump, and longer stretchy tops, like the previous poster writes. For work clothes, got some decent tailored trousers and skirts.

I love seraphine and they have a 40% sale on now, best quality and most their stuff can be used for both maternity & nursing.

I've got an isabella Oliver dress from eBay and a few bits for work from asos...just need a proper bump to show off in them properly! Asos maternity trousers are way nicer than the ones from the h&m...

Don't forget that although it's a relatively short time, you'll wear them every day so you will get your money's worth. You're also unlikely to ping back into your normal clothes straight away so chances are the tops at least will get a few more months wear. It is really depressing being heavily pregnant, only having about 3 things that fit and as a result having to keep on top of the washing!
