Early scan scare - threatened miscarriage??

I thought I was 10 weeks pg, started bleeding yesterday am, EP scan today showed 2 pg sacs, one measuring 6 weeks the other smaller, no hb visible in either.
Had to have TV scan - yuk - and since then bleeding and pain has got much worse.
Anyone else have any experience like this? Is it possible to miscarry one pg sac and keep one? Does no hb mean they're already gone anyway?
Feeling really sad, scared and wishing for answers....

Oh poor you. Any chance your dates could be out? (6 wks to 10 weeks could be one full cycle out?). It is possible to miscarry one sac and hold on to the other and twin pregnancies can develop slightly differently to singletons. It is also possible in my experience to get pain from a TV scan that fades after a few hours and any poking around down there will likely increase the appearance of blood a bit for a short time. All that said, if you are actually 10 weeks, then I'm really sorry, but no heartbeats is not as promising sign -. Your are stuck in horrible limbo land at the moment I'm afraid and only time will tell. It's really hard. Please try to look after yourself/ get dp to look after you.

I had early scan at 6 weeks with 2 sacs, one with heartbeat one without. A week later both had a heartbeat but second one v weak. Was told that one would almost certainly not make it and would prob cause other one to fail too. Another week later second heartbeat had stopped but first had grown. Fast forward a crappy time to 13 weeks and I appear to be having a successful singleton pregnancy. Virtually no sign no 2 ever existed. I hate to say it and I desparately hope I'm wrong but don't think your situation sounds great. What have they told you is next step? x

I have to go back for another scan in 10 days. Really don't want to go through it again just to be told there's nothing there ??

It is possible to mc one and not the other.

In all honesty though, pain, bleeding, a full 4 weeks behind and no h/b for a 6 week sized pregnancy...they really should have told you that the signs are not very good at all.

I really hope you get better news though OP.
