As my bump is getting bigger everyday am now starting to find normal knickers are becoming uncomfortable especially around the bottom of my bump!
I am 32 weeks now so not too long left so don't want to spend a fortune on maternity knickers so looking for a few recommendations for comfortable inexpensive maternity knickers!
I am not a thong wearer and wear the boxer type knickers
Help please!

I have found knickers to be a massive issue and I am only 21 weeks!

As you will soon be giving birth, and will have some time in cheapo knickers anyway.... could it be worth heading to Primarni or Poundland and buying some giant granny knickers as from what I can tell they become pretty disposable after you give birth? So you could get your money's worth early on?

Obviously not sexy but maybe comfy? Which is what is important at the min

I'll second buying giant knickers! Very useful if you end up having a c section as well

Stinkylinky · 01/04/2015 16:01

I've bought some giant knickers from Primani.

I have bought some giant no vpl knickers in packs of 5 from m&s which have a soft seam. They are great and so comfy

Scarlettbg · 04/04/2015 15:38

I got some maternity knickers in my normal size from H and M. A three pack was 9.99 so not cheap, but they are really comfortable and I'm still wearing them at 37 weeks. I've also bought lots of big black pants from Primark for the post birth wobbly tummy. Grin

^^ I am also wearing the 3 pack of black/grey/white H&M maternity knickers for £9.99. SUPER comfy, and I think they will be comfy on fat period days after as well.
I don't think just buying huge regular pants would work as well for comfort, as the leg elastic would be too loose and they'd have a saggy arse. I tried going up a size or two in my normal pants and found that they basically just fell off while simultaneously bunching up in my buttcrack. Haven't been able to bring myself to buy any high waisted granny pants, although I'll buy a pack closer to the date in case of C sections.

How high up must your pants one! [shocked]

I found dh's boxer shorts to be the comfiest thing in late pg!

GoooRooo · 05/04/2015 19:11

Giant granny knickers in the next size up, or two sizes up.

I will warn you though - you may never want to give them up even after giving birth Wink

Giant knickers from Sainsburys. They're massive and comfy.

Lunastarfish · 06/04/2015 12:11

i've bought normal knickers two sizes up from sainsbury as day to day knickers. i'm 26 weeks. Now don't get me started on bras because they are bankrupting me.....

I bought a couple of 5packs of Primark black granny pants. They only go up to a size 20-22 now, but they are very generous and I'm wearing them at 41+4 ( was 16 pre-pg).

They go over the bump no problem!

Like GoooRooo, I bought packs of big, cotton, granny knickers from M&S three sizes up from my non-pregnancy size.

They were lovely to wear. I actually never stopped wearing them and am now 12 weeks into my new pregnancy. Blush
