Whooping Cough Vaccine side effects

i had the jab on Friday. Initially I was a surprised by how much the drug stings. Then my arm was very sore with a large satsuma sized purple bruise. Now my arm is both tender and incredibly itchy. This means that I'm torn between scratching the itch and the pain caused by the tenderness when I do scratch or rub. Anyone else?

I had this too. Had to go back to GP and got prescribed antihistamines due to allergic reaction. Took over a week for it to settle down. I remember trying to keep it cool with a damp cloth to help relieve it.

I had mine on Friday, same reaction on Saturday and, with it, an eerie sense memory of a reaction I had to a vaccine I was given for a foreign holiday when I was a kid - checked with my mum and it was cholera - checked with the the gps office yesterday - cholera vaccine is included in the whooping cough mix! Apparently a reaction is fairly common but worth getting checked if you're unsure or it gets worse :)
