Could this be movement?

Currently 19 weeks pg with my first and have been eager to feel baby move for weeks now. Last night whilst watching tv I suddenly felt what I can only describe as a twitching sensation in my lower right hand side. It lasted a few mins and I have felt it again a few times today when sitting down. Could this be the baby moving? I'm a bit confused as it doesn't feel like bubbles or butterflies like many people have described to me but more like a muscle spasm. Has anyone else experienced this before or is it more likely just a muscle spasm?

Sounds like movement to me!

Felt my first movements at 18 weeks, and I'd describe it just like you did Smile

yes that sounds like movement to me! people always described it as butterflies to me before i felt it, but I don't think it feels anything like that - to me it feels exactly like a muscle twitch to start with!

Thanks ladies certainly sounds promising then! It took me a while to register it initially but since I felt it again today I thought it must be. Such a lovely feeling just days before my 20 week scan too! ??

I'm 18+4 and felt a similar thing this evening, just three little "spasms" and I wondered if it could be baby!
