It's today at 13:50, and I'm awake and nattering myself over it.

How will I drink all that water and not pee myself? What if it's bad news, what if there's something wrong?

I'm bloody starving too, but as it was our first wedding Aniversary this weekend, we stayed over in the hotel our reception was in, and breakfast doesn't start until 7am.

Still it could be worse, could be weekend times and not start until 8am!

Any biscuits in the room? Go to reception and tell them you have morning sickness if you don't eat- the break fast room will have toast at least.
I was told to go pee as I drank too much water. Can't help with the not worrying, we all do that. Prepares you for when they are born!

I always get there 15 mins early so I have time to pee and refill my body. It's never been a problem

hst986 · 30/03/2015 08:01

I didn't drink any more water than normal before I went as my bladder being full at that stage of pregnancy (and ever since) was not a problem! I remember being concerned that there was no baby in there before mine and that it was all in my head and that I was going to be really embarrassed because I'd wasted their time...... All because I was so shocked when I got a positive test and contacted the doctor to get it confirmed 'oh we don't do that anymore' and a similar story at first midwife appt :-s
Try to relax (I know easier said then done) but it's completely natural to worry, by 2pm you'll hopefully be holding those pictures!

I cried for about 2 hours before we went in with nerves. I think it's pretty normal! Lots of luck, look forward to seeing you on here afterwards when you have seen the bean! X

Hi girls I am so confused, is that the nuchal test? And we need to have full bladder? My letter doesn't say anything about it!!

I drank so much water that they made me pee a bit, then a bit more, then a bit more, then completely empty my bladder to get the scan. You should not be uncomfortable. Drink/pee normally today and have a cup of water when you get to the waiting room and you'll be grand.

It's v normal to be nervous, but once you see the baby it will be amazing.

Congratulations Flowers

I was exactly the same before mine two ish weeks aho- freaked myself right out. There was no need as everything was fine and it's been the best aspect of being preggo so far. Just wish I could have one every week! Congratulations and enjoy!

Marmite27 · 30/03/2015 09:18

Thanks all, I've now eaten and feel better.

My letter says 800ml to be drunk / finished an hour before.

Sometimes your bladder can be too full! I was told to go and do 'half a wee'by the sonographer at my DS's 12 week scan Grin I couldn't help but do the whole wee, whoops

Marmite27 · 30/03/2015 15:55

I'M glad that's over! Had to pee as soon as we arrived, then again afterwards.

There's only one in there, strong heartbeat with and arms and legs and everything. Thanks to all who posted again.
