Hi,

I thought this may be quite a fun wee thread!

Which foods are we all craving?

I want to start with chocolate but DH says that's not a craving as I would eat bucket loads of that anyway - haha!

Other ones are grapes - I could eat them day and night!

And raw fennel, don't dare try to put it in a salad! I will eat a full fennel bulb with dinner Shock

What's yours?

xx

Lop12345 · 29/03/2015 22:41

Marmite! Marmite on toast/crumpets/muffin, marmite & cheese sandwiches, marmite marmite marmite!

31+4 and no cravings, I quite like strawberries but not fussed if they aren't in the house

Like you, I was chocolate obsessed pre pregnancy Smile

happybunny2014 · 29/03/2015 23:30

29+4 with my second baby and at the moment ice cubes are my craving!

Have also craved full fat coke, jam donuts, jacket potatos and mash at different stages throughout this pregnancy.

Discopanda · 30/03/2015 01:48

POTATOES!!!! Seriously, before I got pregnant I liked them but would tend to choose sweet potatoes to be healthier, atm I can't get enough of regular white potatoes. Jacket potatoes, potato omelettes, mashed potato, etc, I think it's baby wanting more calories.

reb2g08 · 30/03/2015 06:08

This isn't food but I'm obsessed with ice cold water at the moment! I'm drinking litres!

willnotbetamed · 30/03/2015 08:22

In my first pregnancy, I can remember craving grapefruit and sour apples. And porridge - I ate it every day, even though I was pregnant all through the summer. Second time round it was mainly pickly things that I remember wanting - sauerkraut, red cabbage in vinegar, gherkins. This time I have wanted tons of salad and vegetables, especially beetroot for some inexplicable reason - I could eat tons of the stuff!

FernGullysWoollyPully · 30/03/2015 08:28

Pickled onion monster munch with my first.
With my second it was oranges, orange juice, orange everything! (dd hates oranges!)
Third...Fizz. As in fizzy pop. Terribly bad but 7up was pretty much the only thing I could stomach for a time. I also had Pica. I loved biting baby sponges. Not eating them just putting my teeth into them Blush
Can't remember craving anything with my fourth.
This time, I'm currently loving cheese. But i am normally quite a cheesy person!

Wine.

Confused

It's AWFUL!

Last time it was Percy Pigs and cheddar, roll that back on again!

60sname · 30/03/2015 12:21

happybunny2014 apparently craving ice is a symptom of iron deficiency - might be worth getting checked out?

hestialou · 30/03/2015 12:35

Strawberry milkshakes, ice cream, yogurt...not fresh strawberrys though...

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 30/03/2015 13:06

Sandwiches. Any kind. Need sandwiches.

changingagain · 30/03/2015 13:49

McDonalds chocolate milkshake. Our nearest is 20 miles away so we agreed last week we would go on Saturday but when we got there the machine wasn't working. I started welling up at the counter and had DH rubbing my back, the woman serving must of thought I was bonkers.

Apart from that, anything carb based. Pasta, cake, crisps. I wish it was fruit and veg though.

DefinitelyNotElsa · 30/03/2015 14:15

Anything with chilli, garlic or salt. Nom.

I do find it most odd, as usually I have an incredibly sweet tooth!

Focusfocus · 30/03/2015 14:27

No cravings to report, week nine on now. Have gone off fast food which was my main pre preggy craving! Do get sudden desires for freshly chopped up fruit though!

M1985V · 30/03/2015 14:38

Dry spaghetti straight out of the packet! I can't get enough of it!

In my last two pregnancies I craved ice. Must be something about crunchy things

happybunny2014 · 30/03/2015 23:03

60sname - Ive heard that as well, am due my bloods back from my 28 week app any day now so will see if that holds any truth.

TakesTwoToTango · 31/03/2015 00:39

Pickles, mustard, blue cheese, potatoes (fabulous baked with very melted - ie microwaved half to death - blue cheese on them), Greek yoghurt with cinnamon granola. Hmm

Lewaney3 · 31/03/2015 03:33

Pickled onion monster munch crisps, salt and vinegar chipstick crisps.
Chillis. I like them extra hot with my curry!
Creme eggs

Creme egg mcflurry... Thank you McDonald's!
