Abdominal pain

Hi all, I'm 22 weeks pregnant and lately have been suffering from really sore abdominal pain. Today is really bad again especially when sitting or bringing my legs up to my chest.
Has anyone had this or any idea what it is?

didn't want to read and run, probably nothing to worry about but would recommend speaking to your midwife; they will always be able to let you know if it's normal or if you should pop in to see them to discuss further, i know its easier said than done but try not to worry Thanks

Thanks Ruby, I'm not too worried it's just the pain is pretty bad just wondering what it

Best thing would be to speak to your midwife.

Round ligament pain? Round ligaments run vertically either side of your uterus. Mine have been incredibly painful throughout my whole pregnancy (32 weeks now). They tend to go into spasm when I'm reclining or laid flat - like a stitch but more sudden and more painful.

Thanks for the replies, it's really hard to describe the pain but it's right below where my ribs join, very swollen and hard to touch and pain takes my breath away.

Could it be something as simple as gas but could gas be that painful?

Oh yes, trapped wind can be excruciating!

PebbleTTC · 29/03/2015 23:19

The pain is awful, husband wants me to go to a&e but don't want to go if it's just wind!!

Well if you haven't burped or farted in the last two hours, and you're still in agony, it might not be wind. Tried called your GP out of hours service?
