Hello Smile

I'm 8 + 4 just now. Had my booking in app during the week. I've got a BMI of 31 which really upset me (although didn't surprise me), MW was lovely saying although it's obese I don't 'carry' my weight like a 'typically' obese person I.e. Big boobs and hips.

I'm so worried that my weight is going to cause problems for the baby. With my first child I was underweight for most of the pregnancy, found out at around 4 & 1/2 months, gained 3 stone + but lost nearly all of it very quickly. DS is now 11! So a long time to put on a lot of weight.

I have been feeling sick and only thing to control it is to eat Sad mostly been eating crackers, veg sticks, fruit but also toast and DH keeps bringing home sweets Angry. I've got my sister's wedding in a couple of weeks and need to fit into my bridesmaid dress!

I've also had bleeds so been stressed, don't know if that's then 'comfort eating' too.

Is there anyone else in a similar position? Are you trying to control your weight? So worried about it. But also so hungry!!! Really don't feel like I can control it at all.

Thanks for the reply Smile really reassuring. Have you found you've been watching what you eat more? I feel so massively aware of it.

I will be overweight at my booking in scan because I just had a baby in December. My consultant has said it's ok to try and lose weight during pregnancy. So I'm dieting at the moment.

I have a normal BMI but I am still going to need a glucose tolerance test and if it is positive for diabetes I will be under the care of a consultant. Being overweight isn't the only risk factor in pregnancy, there are lots of other risk factors so try not to worry about it too much.
