Hello. I'm 5 weeks and for the past week I've been having horrendous heart palpitations that last 30 seconds or more staff time. It's scary and makes me stop in my tracks. I never had this during my last 2 pregnancies so don't know how to deal with them! Am I normal? Anyone else dealing with this?

I had this plenty, especially during first 10 weeks.
Also every couple of weeks after I would get them for like 3 or so days in a row.
I would say it's completely normal but same as you I was pretty scared at the time. I did post in here and got reassured.
I think the consensus was to see gp to make sure nothing else causes it.
I wouldn't worry but mention it to the gp for complete peace of mind.
Congratulations and good luck! Smile

Yep I have had loads too - although strangely I had loads in my first pregnancy and not quite as many this time. Sometimes I get loads and then they calm down for a bit. Try not to be scared as that can make it worse but mention it to the doctor/midwife just in case as it could mean low iron.
