Hi, I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I've had some sever stomach aches, bloating and gas for 4/5 days. My abdomen aches all day. I'm terribly uncomfortable and feel like I've got a ball bouncing around my stomach constantly! This is actually dc3 but I can't actually remember these pains so early on! Thing is I had scans in Dec and then Feb for an ovarian cyst. The cyst seemed to be gone in feb, but she commented on high levels of gas and possible IBS. I'm not sure if this is normal, possibly a complication or possibly IBS. I hate going to the dr unnecessarily and really don't have time, especially for them to tell me they can't do anything.

Does it all found normal? Or aminous?

It sounds normal but if you see the go you can get a prescription for gaviscon and perhaps something stronger like ranitidine, it will be free as you're pregnant. Don't suffer unnecessarily :)

Would gaviscon help? I've only ever used it for heartburn later in pregnancy.

Gosh I really don't remember these pains! You'd think it would be easier 3rd time around as it's all already stretch to glory!! Grin

I don't know if you are taking any Vitamins but I had very similar symptoms early doors and it was the iron that I was taking

brokencrayons · 27/03/2015 14:14

Are you constipated?

wildpoppy · 27/03/2015 22:00

I was v bloated for a few weeks (around 5-7 weeks, am now 9 weeks) and stopped eating bread for two days then started eating it at normal amounts and fee a lot better. Basically it was all I could stomach as so sick so was having toast for breakfast and lunch and pizza for tea. Managed to change to cereal for breakfast and rice for dinner and made me much better.

OMGBabyNo3 · 27/03/2015 22:15

Also on no 3 and had terrible bloating from about 4-7 weeks this time which I don't remember from before and cramps too. Seems this doesn't get easier...

Fizzy13 · 28/03/2015 07:54

I had horrible bloating weeks 7-9. All made worse by dried apricots randomly. I looked huge and was soooo uncomfortable. It all went around 10weeks and now I'm my normal size again. Certainly doesn't look like there's a baby in here!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 28/03/2015 18:45

Yes, wind and pain can be caused by excess acid which gaviscon will help with x

I've got similar symptoms - first time out and totally panicking. I've had random cramps and pushing / stabbing sensations from about week 2. Do you think everything is okay??

anxiousannie10 · 02/04/2015 13:19

Hi, I was the same, I have severe IBS and before pregnancy my GP wanted to do a ct scan and endoscopy to check for chrones disease. I didn't have those due to pregnancy but will be having them after. I've had very bad gas all the way up to 13 weeks, very embarrassing. My bowels seem to be better than before pregnancy now and the gas at 14 weeks has subsided to normal, for now.

RoseyThePony · 06/04/2015 09:25

Wow, that feels like a long time. I'm only 6 weeks (4 weeks since BFP). :-/

RoseyThePony · 06/04/2015 09:26

Not BFP, dtd.

I have been suffering terrible bloating throughout I am now week 9 and my partner and I are sort of used to it. It gives me a bump which I know is gas. It can feel terribly stretched at the end of the day.

RoseyThePony · 08/04/2015 00:08

That's exactly how I'm feeling - glad it's not just me. It looks like a bump but can't possibly be one. Feeling gigantic and uncomfortable though!
