I'm 12 weeks pregnant, had my first midwife app today which was perfect. I got home and as I walked to my house, blood shot down my legs. Went A&E they've given me app for EPAU tommorow afternoon! .. since then i"m still bleeding but its not heavy, and slight uncomfortable feeling at times on lower abdomen. Btw this is coincidently the same time as I usually start my periods; could it be something to do with that??

Somebody helpp.. I'm so upset ;-( i just dont know what to think or do :-(:-(:-(:-(

Anyone been in same position?

I did have a scan at 6 weeks and heard heart beat and everything was fine

OP,hope the appt this morning is going ok for you.

I can't believe so many people were telling OP to be ringing around other EPUS/hospitals, instead of taking some time to rest and be calm. She was given an appt for this morning, which is actually quite good ( I had to wait up to 5 days for an appt at mine) and nothing is going to change the outcome at this point. Ramping up her anxiety is of no use to her.

OP, I hope the scan goes in your favour this morning, best of luck.

Update: i have a little gawjus baby who dates 12 weeks and 1 dayyy Smile

Bad news is that the blood was caused by a blood clot at side of my stomach. They need to now check for my blood group and then may need to give me an injection. She said i should expect more blood..

Has anyone had a blood clot throughout their pregnancy??

Wow finally i can breathe. Thank You so much for your support ladies. It really did help me get through lastnight!

Wonderful

Fab news. Grin I didn't want to get your hopes up but at the same time I knew there was a chance it would all be fine. They never got to the bottom of my bleeding and it continued up to 16 weeks and the just stopped. They could see an area of blood on the ultrasound (they didn't describe it as a clot) but didn't know what it was, why it was there. But they were confident it would cause problems and that I would continue to bleed. I did. My da is now 4.

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardson · 26/03/2015 14:21

Da? DS even.

Mama1980 · 26/03/2015 14:29

Wonderful news Smile
I didn't want to give false hope but I bled to the point of haemorrhage in both my pregnancies. With my youngest I had both blood clots and slow placental haemorrhage, there was a lot of blood which is terrifying but my son (though born at 24 weeks this was for other issues don't panic) is now two and perfectly healthy.

I'm going thro this now. Been bleeding since yesterday but not heavy and no cramps. Just spoken to a midwife. She says try not to worry. I can either go to A&E today and they'll check my health but probably won't scan me and tell me to go back tomorrow or I can go to the pregnancy unit first thing in the morning. So worried !

Fatty12 · 29/03/2015 16:31

AuntieDee I am more positive but i'm not sure what will be happening about the bloodclot Confused

She said obviously it shouldn't be there but I didn't even ask her what exactly can or will be done about it. Just told to come back for 20 week scan Hmm

Awww, I pray it all goes well for you, i can totally imagine how you must be feeling. Just try to relax and rest; and alot of women bleed during their pregnancy and have healthy babies. So stay positive Smile
