Vagina shocks...

So I am 35+5 and today I have had, what I can only describe as vagina shocks! Been feeling great all day, not had an overly stressful or hard going day and then as I was walking round the supermarket I was literally stopped in my tracks by said shock. Happened a few times and although subsided when I got home and had a bath I still feel so uncomfortable. Anyone had this? First pregnancy so confused by everything hahaI

Oh god the things they don't tell you hey?!

It's totally normal and also known as lightning fanny Grin it's awful isn't it I remember crying out and bending over I nearly gave a passing man heart failure I think hr thought I was going into labour!

Yep. Fanny forks...sorry, it's not going to get any better. 40+1 here, thoroughly miserable, shooting pains in fanjo pretty much every evening and when ds is wriggling his bum about in my ribs and head is engaging more. Might be the head engaging? Which is good!

Oh yes the delightful Fanny Daggers - feels like baby is trying to claw their way out.

Oh my goodness! Baby has been extra wriggly so possibly engaging more? Bloody hell a while to go then, thank god I finish work this week!

Thank goodness for these posts, been worrying the last few days (after quite a few weeks of burrowing head in my pelvis & feet / arms in ribs - baby very squirmy) as he is getting very excitable & active (wriggly) causing me pain, to feel like I have cystitis & lots of heartburn. Some Braxton Hicks practice contractions in last few days. Am 39 weeks tomorrow & so over it - he's due next Wed, April Fools Day, but hope he comes before then!! Only thing seems to calm him down, attempting to pee / poo & hot water bottle on back or ribs...

I've been getting this too! Sometimes it feels like it's in my cervix and sometimes it's a lot lower, why does no one forewarn you about these delights? I mentioned it to my midwife yesterday (am 38 +2) and she said it's baby engaging, I'm currently 2-3/5 engaged and was only 1/5 engaged a fortnight ago so it makes sense that the pain is my little darling moving down into my pelvis.

Glad to hear some of U are on the same boat! I'm just so glad I finish up at work this week - actually having bother walking and as soon as I get home I am basically living in the bath!

God I remember those. My mw said that it was dd jabbing me in the cervix. My god it's horrible. Apparently the pain radiates so you feel it in your lady parts on the outside too.
