Pregnancy is so glam isn't it?

Still suffering from HG, SPD and now piles.

Any fellow sufferers about? I bought some Anusol after reading up on it yesterday, have been applying it as directed however I have just noticed on the tube you shouldn't use it when pregnant? Any advice? So much conflicting info about : (

It's very glam & only gets better!! Grin

I used Anusol whilst pregnant & I'm still here (plus my 2 DC) so think you should be ok? Confused

Well literally everything I have read online - NHS pages, other advice pages/forums say Anusol is fine it's just the actual tube that says not to, I'm only using it externally but I may pop along to a chemist later to double check.

Why did they call it that? I don't want to say Anusol at a chemist. they might as well have called it Arsenotinsideout or Shitnoblood. Honestly.

Anyway, I have piles but I'm only 11 weeks, God help me when I get to the third trimester, it'll be horrific.

Hellohellohowareyou · 24/03/2015 10:43

Ha ha I know it's such a vile name!!!! I had to buy Anusol and gaviscon yesterday at boots AND it was my birthday, what a lovely birthday gift to myself!!

ANusol is fine. 38 weeks here and I have a whole bunch of new friends!
Have been on prescription stuff for a few weeks now ( over counter stuff did nought to shrink the bastards).
Currently worrying how I'll get a baby out without my entire digestive system coming out so try and lie down and get rid as best as you can.

I got them at 36 weeks this time - I am dreading the state after birth but don't forget- they do go. Mw have seen them all before.

By far the worst pregnacy symptom. I'd rather have chronic Ms again rather than these unfriendly monsters so you have my sympathy. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Hellohellohowareyou · 24/03/2015 11:22

Will the Anusol solve the problem or are the buggers here to stay??

OP posts:
Allstoppedup · 24/03/2015 11:23

Every medicine says not to use whilst pregnant/consult a GP just because legally they can't ethically safety test any drugs on pregnant ladies.

Anusol is absolutely fine to take. I'm only 12 weeks with my second but already dreading the consiptation and piley joy the later stages have to promise!

Gah, such a glamourous business this growing a person malarkey! Grin

Cisforcat · 24/03/2015 11:54

Hello it all depends. Mine have not gone - and looks like they'll be here til baby is evicted.

For you they may go- they may stay. Depends on pressure. How many weeks are you?
Mine have arrived purely from weight of baby so won't go til the weight goes. If caused by constipation then they may disappear.

Hellohellohowareyou · 24/03/2015 12:19

I'm 26 weeks but haven't actually put any weight on yet, I'm still lighter than I was pre preg.

Saying that I lost a stone from sickness but have put the majority of it back on (but still lighter than pre preg if that makes sense) so could be pressure I guess Confused

I'm 24 and have been bleeding from my arse this week. Have been using anusol suppositories they are a life saver! Defo safe to use

BumWad · 24/03/2015 12:36

I'm not actually 24 I wish im 24 weeks

zeldapinwheel · 24/03/2015 12:41

Hi, I could've wrote many of the previous posts when I was pregnant with DS. The only thing that truly helped was a cream I got on prescription I think it was called schroderproct ,or something like that, had a numbing agent. Changed my life after weeks of agony. Go to your GP

Goodluck

Hellohellohowareyou · 24/03/2015 12:44

Thanks zelda think I will book in with GP. I know they have seen it before but oh the shame!!

OP posts:
Sbear22 · 24/03/2015 12:53

I'm 30 weeks and piles have just begun to appear. But I am not constipated! Which is good I suppose...

zeldapinwheel · 24/03/2015 12:59

Your Dr really won't be fazed, just don't let yours get as bad as mine. Seriously, by the time I got to my Dr I'd have shown them to any random person if they'd told me they could stop the agony.

It's amazing how pregnancy is both incredibly wonderful and horrible all at the same time.

Totally worth it though.
