Just had a 24wk growth scan and found out right at the end that one of our twins has what looks like 4 cysts in one of their kidneys. Largest cyst measurement on the scan report is 10mm x 8mm.

Unfortunately we had an afternoon scan and absolutely no one was around or available afterwards to give us any more information, details or actual indication of what they think it is or could have caused it. We have to wait now for another appointment to come through for a consultant check and scan.

Obviously the wait is not good at all !!

Has anyone else had this reported? What did it turn out to be and what was the outcome?

I have no experience so I am sorry I can't help... But babies are bloody resilient little things. A friend of mine had a little girl who was born with a massive cyst/growth on her lung, the majority of her right lung was non existent. She had an op when she was 8 months I think and now she is doing great. In fact her lung will fi the cavity and be just as functional.

I hope you find answers soon xxxx
