Morning Sickness - Girl?

DimpleHands · 22/03/2015 16:54

This is my second pregnancy. With DS1, I didn't feel sick at all but with this pregnancy I feel really nauseous all the time. I am wondering if this means I am having a girl. Did anyone else not have sickness with a boy but did with a girl - or vice versa?

2 girls-no ms with either. Bestie has 1 DS- no ms either. Morning sickness is not an indication of sex.

StoryOfMyLife · 22/03/2015 17:05

3 girls, Ms not bad first 2 times but this time I was sick regularly.

WrappedInABlankie · 22/03/2015 17:06

Morning sickness once a month with DS

This time it's horrendous I'm still on anti-sickness tablets at 27 weeks, everyone who gets this ill has had a girl in mine and my partners family it's a boy. 50/50 I'm afraid

applecore0317 · 22/03/2015 17:21

sorry, I'm having a girl and had zero morning sickness...

MsDran · 22/03/2015 17:26

DS1 - very mild morning sickness, DS2 - horrendous morning sickness. I convinced myself I must be having a girl during my second pregnancy because of the difference in how I felt and was genuinely surprised when they told us we were having a boy at the scan.

Pegglebot · 22/03/2015 17:28

Three boys, no sickness with the first two and vomiting, horrendous nausea and many food aversions with the third, everyone was convinced I was having a girl!

m0therofdragons · 22/03/2015 17:29

One week of feeling a bit sick with dd1 but nothing major - still at work eating paprika pringles (can't touch them now) second pg I had dreadful sickness and ended up on a drip - that was twin girls though.

plummyjam · 22/03/2015 17:46

DD1 sick as a parrot. This pregnancy felt even worse with extra vomiting (every day til 18w). Was no surprise at all to find out it was another DD on the 20w scan.

No boys to compare with but in this n=1 trial lots of nausea means UT's a girl Wink

Cisforcat · 22/03/2015 17:49

First -dd- no sickness at all.
Second- DS- horrendous sickness til 17 weeks

weebarra · 22/03/2015 17:53

2 DSs, minimal morning sickness, much more with DD.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 22/03/2015 18:06

2 girl, morning sickness with one and not the other.

RhiannonElward · 22/03/2015 18:08

DS some nausea but nothing much
DD some sickness and food aversions

This pregnancy I am feeling worse (there seems to be a pattern of pregnancies getting progressively harder from these posts) but I don't think it's gender related, and hopefully it's also not a sign of being trouble once born or I'm in for it :)

noitsachicken · 22/03/2015 18:11

1st pg, no sickness
2nd pg, very sick.
Both boys.

BabyStone · 22/03/2015 18:17

I had really bad morning sickness all day sicknessat first it was nausea and wretching then proper sick. I have a boy. My friend also had really bad nausea at the beginning of her pregnancy and had a girl

GunShotResidue · 22/03/2015 18:23

I had lots of nausea and did aversions with DD. A friend has one of each and had exactly the same symbols with both.

I read a study that found the those hospitalised with HG have a slightly higher chance of having a girl, but there's no correlation with less severe morning sickness.

sparkle101 · 22/03/2015 18:29

1st pregnancy - morning sickness all the way through pregnancy but survived with no help - dd

2nd pregnancy- morning sickness all the way through pregnancy even though being prescribed anti sickness medication for hg - ds.

Mamabear14 · 22/03/2015 18:40

2 boys, no morning sickness but nausea in evenings.
Currently 21 weeks with a girl. Exactly the same. Was only evenings.

I had zero morning sickness and a lovely pregnancy glow with my son, it was an easy peasy pregnancy.

This pregnancy I had awful morning sickness and was sick every day between 8 and 14 weeks, my skin is dry, flaky and horrible...I am having another boy.

So it is a total myth about symptoms being a sign of what sex your baby is. You may be having a girl, but you may be having a boy Smile

HeyMicky · 22/03/2015 19:26

Two girls, no morning sickness either time, sorry

DramaAlpaca · 22/03/2015 19:28

Three boys. Mild sickness with the first two, horrendous sickness with the last one.

mumxof3x · 22/03/2015 20:00

No ms with first- hes a boy
Sick as anything with second, lost so much weight- hes a boy too
Sick again with my 3rd- also a boy
This one (almost 32wk) some days really sick, others not too bad- hes also a boy.

Its 50/50 each pregnancy is different or you can get different sex pregnancys and they be very alike. Its all a myth.
