Is there any body who has conceived on clomid about who can give me their success stories?

Need some positivitySmile

Yes... I'm currently about to pop with DC1. Conceived on my third cycle of 50mg. Grin.

I used to desperately read the success stories on here thinking it couldn't be me. Turns out it is me now.

Christelle2207 · 22/03/2015 12:49

Yup, terrible trouble conceiving dc1, then got pg on the first cycle of clomid. Know at least two others who were the same.
However I do think that the general stress of wanting to be pg really affected me back then- got pg with dc2 without even thinking about it. Best of luck.

What stage are you at? Are you just starting clomid?

doobeedee · 22/03/2015 14:05

First cycle for me too. DS is nearly 17 months now.

VixxFace · 22/03/2015 14:23

I have been given a months free tablets so will be due to start next period!
The hospital want to review after the first month and it will be up to me if I want to self fund with clomid or self find iui.
Ivf booked for September if it fails. Which I don't want!

I conceived my now 17 month old DS on the third cycle of clomid. I wasn't ovulating on my own, didn't ovulate on the first cycle (50mg), ovulated on the second (100mg) but got bfn then got a bfp on the third cycle (also 100mg).

VixxFace · 22/03/2015 14:47

Thank you for all the stories. Making me feel more optimistic. Hope I am as blessed

My third cycle success is now 10yrs old Grin

Looks like third cycle seems to work for some of us! It's rubbish that they are only giving you one free cycle, I was offered six. 3 of 50mg and I would have then moved on to 3 of 100mg if I had needed them.

Are they monitoring you?

The time that worked for us we DTD every day for over two weeks as I founnd the failure of the second cycle really difficult. Determined that cycle three would work.

VixxFace · 22/03/2015 16:15

They will give me a scan on the eighth day to determine if it worked for me and will let me decide whether to stick with it (250 a cycle) or iui (700 a cycle).

That includes the scans. I am desperate for clomid to work!

I had PCOS and we were TTC for over a year. I was probably not ovulating at all and cycles were between 40 and 90 days.

Still ovulated quite late (CD 19- was sure it was going to fail!) but got pregnant first try with Clomid 100mg.

Was totally convinced that my insides were all broken, so it was a massive surprise! I'm currently 31 weeks and little bean appears to be taking cossack dancing lessons whilst I'm typing....

Super good luck!

VixxFace · 22/03/2015 16:45

ah congratulationsGrin Grin Grin
How comes some habe 50mg and some 100?

Probably depends on whatever your test results show. I have all the symptoms of PCOS but my test results said I didn't actually have it but had low progesterone levels. £250 for 5 tablets? (This was my monthly dose anyway). Wow. That's rather harsh, although so worth it if it works.

scarednoob · 22/03/2015 18:03

My friend tried for about 18 months, no luck, first month on clomid and bang.

Number 2 was something of a surprise conceived when number 1 was only 9 months.... Seems that the first time around kicked everything into touch!

Lots of luck x

We've been ttc for 18 months. Now pregnant after my first cycle on clomid. Good luck. Smile
