Hi all,

I've been feeling like crap with morning sickness. I'm now 9+5 and I woke up this morning feeling great, lots of energy, feel happy and nipples don't hurt like they did before.

I'm worried, I should still have morning sickness at this point shouldn't I? How will I know if I have lost the baby? I know everyone says you bleed but a friend of mine didn't and she found out at her scan that there was no heartbeat. If I take a pregnancy test will that help? Looking for any advice or reassurance x

it is totally normal for pregnancy symptoms to come and go, try not to worry about it. And no, it's also not mandatory to have morning sickness.

My synptoms eased around this point from being constant nausea to intermittently icky. Partly I think because I'd learnt to eat better as in more regularly but also your hormones level out a bit around now. I'm 31 weeks with twins now so definitely not a sign there's anything for you to worry about (until you get that scan it won't stop you worrying though ime!)

I was about 9 weeks on NYE - woke up feeling great, after nine weeks of feeling hideous. I was so worried that I called every clinic I could find to try and book a private scan but everywhere was closed given it was 31 Jan. woke up on New Years Day feeling sick again... Try not to worry, pregnancy symptoms come and go, and some people find their morning sickness lifts at around nine weeks.

Don't worry yourself symptoms come and go

Thanks everyone, BalancingStick that made me giggle (it's awful that you felt sick again the next day but I'm thinking maybe I should enjoy my day "off" sickness!) x

Hiya - I spent soooo long worrying about having zero symptoms! One of the sites I read was about miscarriages and it says quite specifically that symptom spotting is the least reliable thing of all. some people miscarry with really strong symptoms and some have no symptoms and are fine. It's the most worrying few weeks and our brains do seem to find things to worry about. I spent about 2 months looking like a pervert trying to see if my boobs were sore!!

I am sure you are absolutely fine but if you are still worried in a couple of days, maybe have a quick private scan? X

I'm 9+5 and my symptoms are starting to diminish too and I heard my baby's heartbeat yesterday, I wouldn't be too concerned x
