Those of you induced on 2 DCs - were the experiences different? Higher success rates with DC2?

I was induced at 39+2 with DD due to high blood pressure, and it was a great experience - delivered 15 hours after walking into the hospital that morning Smile. Obviously cervix was favourable etc.

Am expecting DC2 and we are moving house and countries 6 weeks after my due date. I'm not in the NHS / UK so attending an obstetrician privately, and am debating whether to request induction around my due date. Obviously I wouldn't push it if the obstetrician thought it wouldn't be likely to be successful, but he has indicated that although induction isn't something he normally offers electively, he might do so as we are travelling.

So, for those of you who were induced with 2 or more - was it better / worse / more or less successful with dc2 than dc1?

Also, I guess it comes down to - would it be worse to travel and to move countries with a 4 week old delivered vaginally, or a 6 week old having had an emcs?!

I was induced with DS1 as he was 2weeks overdue, very straight forward, relatively quick delivery. Ds2 was induced on his due date as he had been an unstable lie and was the right way round so they decided to induce before he moved again. I was rushed into theatre for an emcs as his stats were dropping (he had the cord found his neck), but managed to squeeze him out just before they cut.
So I guess there's no way of predicting!
