Pain in my bump when weeing

Sorry if it's tmi, I noticed a few weeks ago when I go to the loo for a wee my bump really hurt, I really can't explain it. The actual peeing doesn't sting or hurt but it's like my bump is being squeezed. I put it down to just the movement if it's pressing on my bladder, but I've just been for a wee and the pain made me wince! It really hurt, I'm 17 weeks by the way. Has anyone else experienced this?

It sounds like it might be a uti. Have you had your urine checked recently?

I sometimes get a slight achey pain around my bump when I go for a wee too, I don't have a uti. I think I had it with my last pregnancy too so I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Yeah I had it checked at 12 week, nothing showed up, got midwife next week so I'm sure she will check it then. I might go to the doctors beforehand just to be on the safe side? Not sure what a uti can do to he baby if left untreated?

I have similar now and again, especially if I allow my bladder to get a bit full. Early and midstream are totally normal, then at the end I can get really strong pain in my low bump area, not my lady bits. Really makes me wince! No UTI, was just told it's likely ligament pain, so when I empty my bladder my bump weight that was suspended by my bladder presses down on the ligaments again and it's that little bit of stretch I'm feeling. Could be you're simiar to this?

That sounds exactly what I've been experiencing! I'm glad it's not just me, although it hasn't happened for a few days. I would have thought of UTI it would be constant. I have midwife anyway Thursday so I will mention it. Thanks a lot! X
