It keeps going so hard its uncomfortable, I'm guessing it is braxton hicks but bit early isn't it? And why so often? Normal?

I've been getting braxton hicks since about 18 weeks. A small area goes rock hard and then eases off especially if I rub it. It isn't uncomfortable though. I saw my mw at 25 weeks this week and she said it was fine unless there was a clear pattern and they are painful, at which point I should go and get it checked out.

They can occur from any stage and aren't a sign you are in early stage labour like many people think. It is a sign that your uterus is practicing for labour. So a good sign in my book.

Hmmm, thanks beno - practicing labour not good for me as I have to have a C section and labour could be very dangerous. Might give mw a call - but
