12 weeks today and bleeding...

From yesterday morning it's gone from brownish ewcm to pink and now period type. Mainly brown but with some red in. Been referred to epau tomorrow morning when it opens. Trying not to worry, but not doing that well. Argh. Any stories, advice, handholding? Thanks

Hi Katy,
I can't really offer any advice as such, but I do know how worrying it is. I had bleeding at 11+6 and then again at 14 weeks. The first was heavy and bright red so major panic stations, the second was dark brown but still quite heavy. Everyone is different, but for me, the EPU consultant and MW both said this happens to some women and can happen throughout the pregnancy. My scan was all good, and they couldn't see a reason for the bleed. It is very hard, I know, but try not to worry too much. I am now 16 weeks and heard the babies heartbeat yesterday, so all appears to be going well.

Thank you for your kind words. I've been in bed all afternoon...thought it had eased up but just went to the loo and still there. Very period like. Am having very mild cramps. If it was serious would it have got going more by now? Yuck this waiting til tomorrow is hideous.
