I'm 20+4wks and sti haven't felt any movement. I had a scan yesterday everything was fine. Also stayed in hospital over the weekend and they did regular hb checks with dopplers & found HB every time. So I'm worried about that. But just concerned why I can't feel movement. I am a large lady so is that why?? Any advice would be appreciated
Thank you

Quite normal if you've a bit of "padding"! I was the same and only really started to feel bubbles and pops at about 22 weeks with both pregnancies. I would speak to your midwife if still nothing at 24 weeks. Hope this reassures you, good luck with your pregnancy

Still really early so don't panic. Did they say where your placenta was lying? That can soften the sensation. I have an anterior placenta so also didn't feel definite movements until closer to 22 weeks. It also depends on which way the baby is facing. I'm now 30+ and even now if baby moves into a different position I feel less movement or different movements.
Don't worry-the movements will comr

I was the same at 20 weeks, people kept asking me if I had felt anything and when I said no, they gave me concerned looks! However, all was fine at the 20 week scan and at 23 weeks I have started to feel movement. Nothing like kicks, it feels more like popping, or an eye twitch but in your stomach.

I'm wasn't overly large before getting pregnant (size 14), but I am pear shaped so have more padding around the hips, I thought this could have been another factor as to why I didn't feel anything sooner.

Also, I was (and still am) a little windy, so most 'movements' I felt I put down to wind!

I'm 19+4 and haven't felt anything yet and it's worrying me too! I'm anxious about my 20 wk scan on Friday and desperate to feel something! This thread has reassured me slightly though. I did read earlier that it's perfectly normal not to feel anything until 22/23 wks.

Littlelady33 · 19/03/2015 10:46

I was just going to post something similar! I'm 21+5 and no movement - possibly flutters but I can't tell, all was good at 20wk scan but can't help worrying Shock

I had a front placenta with my dd and I hardly felt anything my whole pregnancy and everything was fine. It was very worrying but try and relax x
