Induced one week today

Hi all. I had a 36 week growth scan yesterday and the consultant has said i will need to be induced one week today, i will be 37 weeks. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this? My baby is still under 5lb so they have said better out than in. Feeling excited but also very anxcious and frightened this is my first.

Try not to stress yourself between now and then ... The weight by scan can be inaccurate and if baby's other measurements are all fairly spot on then he or she may well be heavier than estimated ... at 35 weeks my little one is showing signs of slow growth and no weight gain but the doc said last week that because scans are performed by different people they all have their own method of measurement and this can throw the next result out ... at 37 weeks baby is term and may well not need any help at all ... have fun getting the last preparations sorted before you finally meet your little one and go with the flow ... no need to worry until there's need and there may never be a need ... good luck!!

Thanks blackwifow this is my first so not sure what to expect although I'm sure all woman are a little frightened
