Evaporation line on pregnancy tests - anybody had one?

After a little mishap almost 3 weeks ago which resulted in taking the MAP, I got a bit twitchy and decide to do a preg test this morning. After a few minutes in seemed pretty conclusively negative, so I put it to one side - I've always found they developed really quickly when pg in the past. I made the mistake of looking at it a few hours later and there was a definite but very faint line. Now, I know in theory you can get evap lines, but has anyone had one in practice? I've convinced myself I've got sore boobs and nausea now and dh only bought a single test so I haven't got another one to try I've bought some cheapies from eBay but they prob won't arrive til Tuesday now.

go and buy one from tesco or asda NOW!! they are cheap, but accurate..

evap line is different from a faint positive....put your mind at rest...xx

I did a pg test (am now 27 weeks) and it was negative. I put it in the bathroom bin and emptied it a few days later, that's when I saw the faint positive....

IME on the occasions i have done a test and it was negative, and af arrived a day or two later, there was nothing on the test strip whatsoever.with this pg and my last ...and the one before if i remember,i looked back at the 'negative' tests a few hours later and there was a faint line.
i kept looking and looking at the tests(think i did about 11 in total this time before it was 100% positive)because deep down i knew i was pregnant.
personally,i dont believe evaporation lines exist.i have only ever used cheap tests as well.

I believe I have had an evaporation line mishap

I was once really late and took a pg test, it was neg. I went back to double check and I swear there was a really feint line.
I kept going back and the line got clearer but looked more like a tide mark.
I wasn't pg.

Hmm, well still could be an evaporation line I guess (although most of you seemed to be pregnant with faint line ) I don't really want to go and get another test - we live way out in the sticks, so it's a bit of a trek and I figure if it's faintly positive earlier today it's not going to be very different if I test now. It wasn't a cheapy test either - Sainsbury's which I've had positives with before. This line is only just visible, you really have to screw your eyes up to see it and it's more grey really.

Ho hum, I'll just have to wait and see I suppose. Wouldn't be completely the end of the world, but would delay my midwifery plans by a few years Would be a bloody miracle if I was pg seeing as I took the MAP AND I haven't even resumed periods after my last baby yet.

I'd start taking the folic acid and fish oils, myself.
