Crunchy cravings

Hi. I am 21 weeks and am experiencing really strong cravings for sweet crunchy, gritty type foods. My last 2 pregnancies i ate mainly peanut buttercups for the fact they were sweet, salty and gritty.
This time round i do not want to put on more weight by overeating. Does anyone know of any other things i could try?

I've never tried this, but always meant to since I read about it as a child ("sweet valley high" if you remember those books!) - the character was eating crunchy peanut butter spread on slices of apple. If the thought doesn't make you throw up, that could be a healthy substitute for your peanut butter cups?

Sorry if I've made you feel sick! I might try it myself now...

Mmmmm I ate loads of peanut butter on apple in first trimester, it's a really healthy snack and so tasty!

Peanut butter on celery (like smushed down the middle) is really good Smile

Thanks for the suggestions. Not a big fan of celery though, but i may try the apple idea or the rice cakes.

Nakd Cocoa crunch bars - you'll find them with the cereal bars - they're bloody lovely! They are health food bars so you can feel all smug too! Just fruit, nuts and little crunchy soya things.

They have something like 18% of your daily protein intake as well so they are very filling.

I took a pic for DH earlier to get some more while he was out so here this is what they look like!
